Hot on the heels of Halloween, what more could be better...

As part of Whiskers feast of Autumn events, SuperSonic presents 'Hyde & Seek' - with Flat Packed Theatre.

Using specially designed self contained lighting effects, Hyde and Seek is a chilling and intimate story-telling experience: ghostly figures are glimpsed briefly before vanishing, characters appear out of nowhere, and what you can’t quite see becomes a lot more disconcerting than what you can.

Based on the tale of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, 'Hyde & Seek' is a macabre ghost story with occasional spatterings of vaudevillian humour. The story expands on the world of the original narrative; and the friendly, yet haunted former stage-door man, Albert, tells a grisly tale of the further misdeeds of Mr Hyde and his ‘acquaintance’ - the tormented genius, Dr Jekyll.

Set in a long-abandoned theatre in Victorian London, the show has a theme of vaudeville running through it resulting in darkly comic song, dance, puppetry and even ventriloquism, which interweave with the story.

Swedish performance artists, The Big Bang Gang, bring their unique blend of stories, songs and crazy cabaret, taking you on a surprising journey through power struggles and secret machinations. 

How could that fatal gunshot in Sarajevo change everybody’s life – even yours, even today?

Through stories, songs and cabaret, meet characters who really only want to live, laugh and love, following them on a journey showing just how you in the audience are connected to the gunshot that started ‘The Great War’. Maria is a professional storyteller and artist. She follows the nervous young men of the action group, their pockets loaded with guns, bullets and poison. Staffan is a writer of books and plays – who brings to life the tensions and the historical background of the shot and its Big Bang aftermath. Eva is a singer, actress and dramatist. In stories and typical songs of the time she builds an atmosphere that brings you near to people and their fate.
All three are storytellers, together taking turns in pushing the story forwards, while tension mounts. A theatrical experience to leave you enriched and entertained.
